We serve students in grades 6-8 and are a part of the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District.  We are located about 45 minutes south-east of San Francisco.  We believe in providing each student with a safe and comfortable learning environment with high expectations and where they have the opportunity to excel academically, learn respect, ethical values and social skills.

 It is that time of year again.  Time to start thinking about planting.  Time to start planning summer vacations.  And time to nominate officers for the PTSA Board for the 2010/11 school year.  Any PTSA member can volunteer for any of our postions.  Some of our current officers are eligible to run for one more year in office but a couple of them are not.  It is always great to get new voices and ideas on the PTSA Board.  As you all know we will be facing many challenges for next year and this is an opportunity for you to be part of the solution.  Please consider sharing your talents with the PTSA.

On Friday, January 29, 2010, Ms. Foster and Mr. Bernal gave a presentation to all 8^th graders outlining Mendenhall’s timeline and minimum requirements to participate in promotion activities. The message was basic. We are very proud of our 8^th grade class. They are the product of three years of dedicated effort from teachers, parents and students. They will represent our school admirably in high school. Mendenhall expects each student to meet simple academic and behavior standards during the second semester in order to participate in end of year activities.

With the wonderful District support given by former Mendenhall teacher Mrs. Schlichter, we are happy to offer some video help to our students now on the website. Click on the Quick Links tab on the left for Math Resources.

The next meeting of PTSA will be Monday, April 12, 2010, at 6:30 pm in the Library!  All are Welcome!

School Loop is an exciting tool for communicating with all members of our learning community.  It is a web-based service that provides a direct link to published class assignments, students' grades, and other school information.  If you have not already done so, please register.  All registered members will receive periodic emails providing them with specific information relating to their student and the school.
